First meeting of the Comenius BACK Project: Kyrkcaldy, Scotland

These photos are *precious documents* of the first meeting of the Comenius BACK project. The Italian, Spanish and German teams have flown to Kirkcaldy, Scotland to meet their Scottish partners and discuss the future project developments. The meeting has also been a great chance for Spanish and German students to meet and communicate as real (non virtual!) friends!

At the Leonardo Da Vinci airport Mr Leo Lombardi remembers the time of his youth...
The journey starts: who's afraid of flying? Umberto Ficociello reads a newspaper pretending not to be scared.
At last we meet our friends: in the photo you can see Bernd Zinsmeister from Germany and Gabriela Rodriguez (project coordinator) from Spain. First thing we see in Kyrkaldy is a graveyard. Brrrr! Leo and Umberto like to appear in photos.
From the other side of the camera there is Maria Antonietta Sessa from Italy who is showing a video about Benevento. In the photo you can see the Scottish, Spanish and German students. German and Spanish students check the information they have got about Scotland in order to see if their *misconceptions* were ill or well-founded. The Scottish student on the left patiently explains to his foreign friends that the Scots don't wear kilts in their everyday life, as they previously thought!!!
Still Scottish, Spanish and German students working hard at demolishing cultural clichès. The group of Scottish teachers is of great help to the students.
The Scottish school is really amazing: at the Adam Smith College they even have a professional radio station. The teacher in the photo teaches his pupils how to make up a radio program. Students gather around a table to discuss all kinds of topics, from the most frivolous to the most serious ones and the debates are broadcasted as a normal radio program: amazing!

Beautiful shopping in Edinburgh

Edinburgh is a fascinating city.
Juan and Gabry from Spain discuss the city attractions with a student Umberto visits Edinburgh castle A group photo for the Spanish students
Friends: this is the most incredible party I've ever been! Scottish men are incredibly charming: just think of Sean Connery! Also the young love to wear kilts on big events.
A visit to a marvellous old garden: Mary queen of Scots used to play tennis here! As usual, young people are our most beautiful flowers!
A visit to St. Andrew, the most famous golf field in the world. The grounds are dazzling green... Enjoy it!!!
And finally a trip to the Highlands in search of Brave Heart!
Some more images from the Highlands...   Our Comenius meeting could only end with the vision of a true Scottish ghost. See you in Cuenca in March 2007, dear friends!!!
